A former police officer, Jack Durban, is released from prison after serving eighteen years for the brutal murder of his girlfriend and not declaring how he disposed of her body. He claims he can’t tell the authorities because he didn’t do it. He approaches Andy Flood, a former DCI with the London Met, now a private investigator, to prove it.

Flood’s daughter, who recently served a prison term, begins working for her father. She meets Durban and begins a romantic, but turbulent, relationship Flood becomes obsessed with discovering the truth about Durban’s alleged crime. How far would a father go to protect his daughter?
